Student Representative Election was held at our Vocational School of Health Services

A meeting was held at our Vocational School of Health Services on October 12, 2026, with the participation of student representatives. During the meeting, students were briefed on the quality and accreditation initiatives currently underway at the school.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Director Lecturer Dr. Serdar Ulak, Head of the Department of Health Care Services Lecturer Dr. Yasemin Salkın, and Head of the Department of Medical Services and Techniques Assoc. Prof. Dr. Leyla Bahar.

Student representatives for each department were selected through a process of secret ballot and public vote counting. As a result of the election, Hakan İlhan was chosen as the representative for the Department of Health Care Services, and Ali Yılmaz was chosen as the representative for the Department of Medical Services and Techniques. Furthermore, following a vote cast by all the representatives, Hakan İlhan was elected as the overall representative for the Vocational School.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to hear the views and suggestions of the program representatives. Students requested an increase in social and athletic activities, improvements to the cleanliness of restrooms, and the creation of study spaces for use outside of class hours. Students were informed that they could utilize the laboratories outside of scheduled class hours, subject to availability.

Additionally, information was provided regarding the use of suggestion and complaint boxes, and students were encouraged to participate in TÜBİTAK 2209-A projects. The meeting concluded after expressing gratitude to the student representatives for their participation and contributions.
